This quantitative descriptive study evaluated cross-sectional survey results regarding self-regulation in children with and without sensory processing difficulties through the comparison of the Occupational Regulation Questionnaire (ORQ) and Sensory Modulation Scale (SMS). The ORQ was developed as a tool to quantify the impact of self-regulation difficulties on a child’s participation in occupation and their caregiver’s satisfaction with these occupations. The SMS was developed for this study to capture sensory modulation.
